Whilst the best option is usually to install these systems during the build or renovation process, Rako in particular is designed to be retrofittable, often able to be incorporated into decorated rooms without any damage or major rewiring.

Scene control allows users to select lighting scenes to suit their mood or activity. Dim the lights to watch a movie or read or bring them all full on for the cleaners. As with a lot of home automation products these days it can be integrated into control systems and controlled by your smart phone or tablet PC.

Whilst there is an initial expense, dimming can bring large savings. Dimming lights to 50% of their brightness can save 40% energy and only allowing lights to go to 90% of their brightness uses 10% less energy, even though the change is barely noticeable to the human eye. Additionally, we can offer systems to control heating systems (particularly underfloor) to help reduce heating bills.
